We are COMMITTED TO PROVIDING A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL ATTENDEES.

COSPLAY AND GENERAL ATTIRE

  • No nudity, explicit sexual content, or references to drugs or alcohol are permitted.

  • No Bare Feet

  • No flash powder, liquid, food, or projectile weaponry allowed.

  • Cosplay, costumes, and apparel with hate symbols, pornographic images or offensive language are not allowed.

  • Cosplay, costumes, and apparel intended to harass, provoke, or intimidate are not allowed.

  • Cosplay or costume must cover, at minimum, as much as a typical bathing suit.

  • Cosplay or Costumes should not closely resemble or imitate real life law enforcement, military personnel or any first responder (Fire, Medical, Security…etc)


    Props & Weapons POLICY

  • Definition of Props and Weapons Props: Any item carried by attendees as part of their cosplay outfit that resembles a weapon or other object, even if it is not functional or dangerous. This includes but is not limited to swords, shields, staffs, wands, and fake firearms. Weapons: Any item, real or replica, capable of causing harm or used to simulate harm, including but not limited to firearms, bladed weapons, and projectile-firing devices.

  • Prop and Weapons Check Procedure: Cosplayers must be willing and able to present all props and weapons for inspection BEFORE entering the event. This applies to all attendees, regardless of age or costume. Props and weapons will be checked by VENUE SECURITY. Security will assess whether the items comply with safety regulations. Items that do not meet safety standards will not be permitted into the event. Attendees must return these items to their vehicles. mianime Con will not be responsible for storing prohibited items.

  • Safety Regulations: Props and weapons MUST be non-functional and incapable of causing harm. This includes ensuring that no sharp edges or points are present. All prop firearms must have HIGHLY VISABLE ORANGE marking. This highly visible orange color MUST be on the outside visible at all angles fully around the prop. A good guideline to being highly visible would be if the color ORANGE can be seen from over 100 feet away. If not, add more color orange to a larger area. They must NOT be able to fire projectiles of any kind. Bladed weapons must be blunt and not capable of cutting or piercing. Foam or other soft materials are highly recommended.

  • Compliance: Failure to comply with the Prop and Weapons Check Policy may result in ejection from the event without refund and potential legal consequences if any laws are violated. Really Cool Comic Con reserves the right to amend or adjust this policy to ensure the safety and security of all attendees.

FURTHER WEAPONS CLARIFICATION

  • All weapon props will be subject to inspection before entry and at any point during the convention.

  • NO FUNCTIONING weapons are permitted including guns, projectile weapons, water guns, knives, blunt objects, etc. This also includes any explosives (including firecrackers, caps, fireworks) and chemical weapons (mace, pepper spray, etc). NO REAL WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED.

  • Metal-bladed weapons (including axes, daggers, hatchets, knives, kunai, swords, sword canes, etc.) ARE NOT ALLOWED.

  • Replica firearms (including air soft guns, BB guns, cap guns, paintball guns, and pellet guns) MUST be marked with orange tip and MUST BE VISUALLY OBVIOUSLY Orange. The Amount of Orange must be OBVIOUS beyond any guess. Orange within the inside of the barrel is not enough. It MUST be on the outside of the prop and visible on all angles around the prop.

  • security and event staff reserve the right to inspect and remove any weapon prop at any time for any reason.


Mianime Con reserves the right to remove any persons for behavior that is deemed unacceptable and/or dangerous. Removal does not include refund.


Anit-Harassment POLICY

This is a harassment-free convention experience for everyone. Really Cool Comic Con strictly prohibits harassment and/or discrimination against anyone in attendance at the event. Incidents will be met with appropriate action. Harassment of any convention participants (including attendees, exhibitors, vendors, press, volunteers, staff, etc.) will not be tolerated. Derogatory sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any convention venue. Attendees and/or anyone violating these rules will be warned or expelled from the convention, without a refund, at the discretion of the convention organizers.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, etc., inappropriate physical contact, intimidation, stalking, inappropriate photography or recording and event disruption. Those asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Really Cool Comic Con Staff, Venue Security, and/or Local Police may take any action they deem appropriate, including expelling the offender from the convention without a refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of convention staff or Venue security immediately. Convention staff will help those being harassed by assisting in contacting venue security or local law enforcement.

PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

  • Pictures and video taken by Really Cool Comic Con official photographers and videographers during the event are the property of mianime operations LLc. and really cool comic con llc. Any and all photographs and/or videos may be used for advertising and promotion of future events.

  • When photographing attendees, vendors or anyone else in attendance at the event please ask permission first.

Tickets and/or badges (“Badges”) for the Mianime event (“Event”) are non-refundable and cannot be reproduced or upgraded. Badges may only be resold , and are otherwise non-transferable. The unauthorized resale or attempted resale of the Badge is prohibited and will constitute a forfeiture of the Badge without compensation. Each Badge must be used by the same person (the “Attendee”) for each day of the Event. The Event’s operating hours, schedules, guests and speakers are subject to change or cancellation without notice. Each Badge is a revocable license to attend the Event. All panels, autographing, photo ops, special events, show features and performances are subject to availability and access is not guaranteed and/or may require an additional fee. mianime operations llc is not responsible for lost or stolen Badges. The Attendee acknowledges there are hazards and risks of physical injury or illness to Attendees of the Event and that not all such hazards or risks can be fully eliminated. By accepting this Badge and attending the Event, the Attendee freely and voluntarily agrees to assume the full risk of bodily injury or property damage, regardless of severity, or death that Attendee may sustain as a result of attending the Event, whether or not caused by the negligence or gross negligence of mianime operations llc.
